Genelia gets cricket savvy

While Rietesh Deshmukh is working hard to ensure a smooth run for his team in an upcoming celebrity sport tournament, Genelia is being the dutiful wife supporting him through it all. The bubbly actress will soon be seen as a brand ambassador for her hubby’s team. And the spirited actress is excited to say the least.

Talking about her own new-found passion in the form of the game she says, “Cricket is a religion in India — much like Bollywood. The two are incomplete without each other. It’s as if they are in a marriage of sorts,” she says. Although if she had to pick one, she would undoubtedly be loyal to her profession. “I can’t imagine being away from films. That is definitely my first love,” she adds.
But thanks to Rietesh’s involvement in the game, Genelia has begun to appreciate the game more than she did before.
We’re can’t wait for the games to begin. Bollywood and cricket on the same field sounds like a double treat to us!
