Force is with a mysterious villain

Apart from revealing that John Abraham will be essaying the lead role in the upcoming film Force, the filmmakers have kept other details of the action flick under wraps. Maybe it’s to build some suspense, or maybe it is to build hype around a mysterious villain, said to be like a “maniac animal”, but the characterisation of this young baddie remains a big mystery.
“There is a history behind this strategy,” says a source, adding that even the Tamil and Telugu versions, which Force is a remake of, featured largely untried villains. “A newcomer named Jeevan starred in Kaakha Kaakha: The Police, while Gharshana had Saleem Baig making his big screen debut. Both these baddies looked like normal men you might see on the road, but on screen, they behaved like psychos. Overnight, they became the most hated villains.”
Though no official word has come in from the filmmakers about the villain in Force, it is expected to be a surprising choice. The theatrical promos portray him as a man who is vulnerable, yet capable of shedding blood. — JT
