Fireworks set to spark off
More on the Shah Rukh Khan-Ajay Devgn clash: It’s heating up and how! With neither Jab Tak Hai Jaan nor Son of Sardaar willing to back down from their November 13 release date, the stage is set for a toe-to-toe battle. The first to draw blood has been Son of Sardaar, the pre-booking of which opened with a bang. Of course, the JTHJ team wasn’t going to back down, and pre-booking for the film opened within hours of SOS.
“This latest move by both parties clearly shows that Diwali clash is definitely on. With pre-release plans open for both the biggies, the advance collections will be very closely monitored,” says a source.
While the initiative is currently running only at one multiplex chain, the trends in ticket sales would help predict which film will take the lead when it comes to the box office. “The next three weeks will provide a clear indication of which way the clash is headed,” said an industry bigwig. “Expect the makers to start flashing progress updates of their films in the days to come.”
