Experimentation not for me: Asin
While most actors do claim to be concerned about leaving behind an enduring on-screen legacy, Asin doesn’t seem to be one of them. The actress, who recently declared that she was one of the founding members of the 100-crore club, says she would rather stick to the commercial films that have made her successful than experiment.
“I’m fortunate that my films have done well,” says Asin. “I might not have the biggest roles, but the set-up and my co-actors are big enough to give me visibility and assured success.”
A case of too much confidence? No, for age is on her side, Asin insists. “I started at a young age and things have been looking bright. I’m happy with my song-and-dance films. I have a lot of time to experiment,” she says.
The lass also seems to have bid adieu to the South film industry, where she started her career. “I’m not very good at multi-tasking. Right now, my focus is to do good work in Hindi films. The South industry is like my home, I can always go back to it as and when I want,” Asin says.
Well, we can only hope her successful streak continues, but Asin, they do say it isn’t wise to have all your eggs in one basket for a reason.
