Dhawan yet to decide on his cast
Though David Dhawan has been planning his Chashme Baddoor remake for a long time now, the cast of the film is still undecided. “Every month, a new name crops up out of nowhere,” says a source attached to the film. “One day, we hear Ranbir Kapoor has been approached, while the next day, Riteish Deshmukh and Ali Zafar are also being mentioned. However, the fact remains that the film’s casting is yet to be done.”
The source adds that Dhawan is busy shooting for the Sanjay Dutt-Ajay Devgn starrer Rascals these days. Dhawan himself says he has no wishlist in mind yet. “I never make up wishlists for my films. I don’t wait for an actor. Those who are good at their job want to work with me and those who have their dates available are happy to join me,” he says, a tad annoyed at the speculations.
Explaining his modus operandi further, he says, “I can’t run after actors. I have never done that in my career. I feel Bollywood is one small and nice fraternity and one should work with all. I don’t belong to any camp.”
