Delays galore for Ouatim
Losing patience with Vivek Oberoi was one thing. But Ekta Kapoor is now realising that replacing Vivek — who was earlier slotted for the role of Dawood Ibrahim in Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2, only to be dropped later — is proving to be a tough proposition. The contenders include Shahid Kapur and Abhishek Bachchan, but failure to sign one of them may cause the film to get delayed.
Also, given that director Milan Luthria is still finalising the script, a delay looks inevitable now. “Milan has asked the team to make a few changes in the script. And till the final draft is ready, we cannot approach the actors, as they all demand a bound script now,” laments a source connected to the film.
The film, which was planned barely two weeks after the first part released last year, has Akshay Kumar on board but everything else is still hanging loose. Do we hear Ekta Kapoor grumbling already?
