A complete volte-face?
A while ago, John Abraham and director Shoojit Sircar had got into trouble for the title of their next film, Hamara Bajaj. But in spite of the trouble, the producer-director duo had planned to stick to the title as they deemed nothing wrong in it.
Shoojit in an exclusive interview with this newspaper, had said earlier, “Tomorrow, if someone copyrights ‘Sircar’, does that mean I won’t be able to use my surname?” But things seem to have changed now. The director, in a complete volte-face, is now saying that the title of his Ayushmann Khurrana-Rashi Khanna-starrer is tentative and they may consider changing it since they don’t want to get into any more legal hassles. Shoojit says, “The title may undergo a change. Hamara Bajaj is the tentative title for the film. We will announce the final title when we are ready to talk about the project.”
Not quite the rule-breaker we thought, huh?
