The boys are back
Will he, won’t he? That has been the question ever since the sequel to Kya Kool Hain Hum was announced. While Tusshar Kapoor quickly agreed to clamber on board (of course), Riteish Deshmukh was in two minds because of the “raunchy content” of the sequel. Finally — maybe it has something to do with his lack of quality projects — Riteish has also given his nod to the film.
However, one member of the original film will not be a part of the sequel: Director Sangeeth Sivan. “Sangeeth did try to work around a few subjects but it didn’t work out. Finally, the film’s writer Sachin Yardi came up with an idea that was agreeable to all,” says a source from the film’s sets.
Tusshar confirms, “Sachin will be directing the sequel for us. His idea will take the Kya Kool Hain Hum franchise up by many notches.” Funny, we didn’t think sex comedies had any notches to climb!
This installment of the franchise will mark the third in a long series of sequels for Riteish, who will be seen in Double Dhamaal and Housefull 2. As for Tusshar, the Golmaal series happens to be his crowning glory.
While the boys bask in their sequel success, the girls haven’t been so lucky. Neha Dhupia and Eesha Koppikar, who provided the female quotient in the original, will be replaced by newer faces.
