Bobby roped in for Power

Rajkumar Santoshi’s Power seems to be one of the biggest films of recent times. The film was announced some time back with a grand muhurat and boasts of a starcast like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Amisha Patel. One leading hero was yet to be finalised and it seems the film was stuck, when two months later, Ajay Devgn walked out of the project. But finally, Santoshi can breathe a sigh of relief for as Bobby Deol has been finalised for the role.
Our source said, “After Ajay refused to be a part of Power, Santoshi and producer Firoz Nadiadwala tried their best to coax Ajay to stay on. But the actor did not change his stand and they had to look for an option. John Abraham was approached but he demanded huge amount. Then there were rumours about the film being shelved. However, it seems that Bobby Deol will now step into Ajay’s shoes and has been signed on for the role. The film is finally on track much to the relief of everyone involved with it. The shooting will start in early February.”
