Birthday boy to work today

Ranbir Kapoor’s Bolly-wood sojourn is living proof of the age-old adage: Slow and steady wins the race. With his last film Barfi! reaching the peak of success not just in India but also overseas, the youngest Kapoor couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift.

Ranbir, who turns 30 today, says, “It feels great. What I like the most is how the audience is reacting to the film. Going by the collections, one can say that the film has managed to touch many hearts.
The film getting selected as India’s official entry for the Academy Awards is surely the cherry on his birthday cake. Ranbir admits that he was always expecting the film to be a hit. “But we didn’t expect it to go as far as the Oscars. The feeling hasn’t sunk in yet. I am numb — I don’t know how to react.”
But no matter how much the success, work commitments rule supreme for Ranbir. On his birthday the actor will be shooting for his next film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. That according to him is the best way an actor can celebrate his birthday.
Somebody please tell him to take a break. No one deserves it more than him right now.
