Bips wants to kick butt

Bipasha Basu has decided that she is never again going to play the character of a weak woman after her last film Aakrosh, in which she played an abused wife, tanked at the box office. “The audience doesn’t want to see me as a weak woman. They thought yeh ab ghuma ke wapas do haath degi apne husband ko in Aakrosh,” laughs Bipasha who adds, “The audience didn’t like seeing me getting beaten up and traumatised.”

So, from now on, she is going to live up to her on-screen image and do things that make the audience relate to her. “This is where my upcoming films like Dum Maaro Dum and Players come in. One is an edgy thriller and another is a cool, action thriller. I want to do more action now and kick butt. It’s time to give it back to those who felt I was willing to take things lying down.” Wonder whom she is hinting at.
