Big B goes back to Department

While Amitabh Bachchan continues to garner rave reviews for his performance in Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap, he is also preparing to face the camera all over again in Ram Gopal Varma’s Department, which was put on hold for a while after the two had a fallout.

Apparently, things had turned sour between Ramu and the Bachchans after the former replaced Abhishek Bachchan with Rana Daggubati in Department. And then the director had to put his project on hold and start working on the script and screenplay of Bhoot 2.
But soon after, the differences between the two seemed to have been ironed out and the film is all set to roll. However, the director continues to feigns ignorance about the so-called spat.
“I don’t quite understand what you are talking about? He (Big B) was never out of the project. We start shooting in this month,” says Ramu. Maybe the maverick director realised that it would do him no good to harbour cold relations with the kingpin of Bollywood that is the Bachchan senior. — JT
