Bhatts forced to change plans
The Bhatts, who usually never let competition get the better of them, are actually reconsidering their multiple release dates owing to two factors — cricket and Karan Johar. After announcing three back-to-back films for next year — Jannat 2, Blood Money and Raaz 3, now the makers are rethinking the order of the releases.
A source says, “Initially, the plan was to bring in Blood Money first, followed by Jannat 2 at the start of the IPL 2012 and round it up at the end of the tournament with Raaz 3. But that won’t be the case anymore.”
Apparently, Karan’s announcement of Ek Main Aur Ek Tu starring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor on the Valentine’s Day weekend has put damper on Bhatts’ plan. They also don’t want to take their chances with the opening week of the IPL. Hence they have now decided to bring in Jannat safely on April 23, after the initial cricket frenzy dies down, and Raaz 3 on August 31.
As far as dodging competition from KJo is concerned, the Bhatts plan to play safe here too and release Blood Money on March 23.
