Benegal may direct Aishwarya next

This is one combination that will receive a lot of attention from the media and the audience. Well-known award winning director Shyam Benegal is likely to direct Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a long delayed
project.

Our source said, “Benegal is all set to revive his international venture with the actress shortly.” The film was to go on the floors a year ago but had to be shelved temporarily because of the recession.
“Now that all is well with the world and films, the filmmaker plans to revive the project. The two met up recently to take things further. It is mega film to be made on an international scale,” said our source.
Shyam Benegal confirmed this news, saying, “Yes, it is true that Ash and I were to work on a film together. But it had to be stalled because of the economic meltdown. I may revive the project soon.”
