Bebo’s IPL dig irks PZ
From the changing faces of its leading lady to its release, Heroine has been in the news for various controversies. This time the film and its leading lady Kareena Kapoor has irked not one but three Bollywood actresses. Apparently, Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty and Juhi Chawla are unhappy with Kareena. The reason for their angst is the infamous dialogue in the film where Kareena says that actresses buy IPL teams and become entrepreneurs when their film career is over.
The barb hasn’t gone down well with the team owners, who have been big stars once upon a time. The film’s spokesperson however says, “The dialogue is not directed at any particular actress. So, I don’t see why it should upset anyone.”
When we asked Preity about the same, she replied: “I really don’t care! I’m happy with my career and my IPL team.” However, the word is that her counterparts Juhi and Shilpa aren’t as unmoved as Preity. “It’s a deliberate move to create a controversy. She should’ve been more careful about her dialogues," says our source. Well, looking at the film’s track record, it’s not surprising the makers keep adding fuel to the fire. While making realistic cinema is one thing, hitting below the belt is another.
