The Bachchans plan the big day

They could be busy with the most prestigious and biggest assignments, but when there is cause for celebration, the Bachchans make it a point to come together. And what could be bigger than the 70th birthday of the head of the family? Plans for the D-day are on in full swing.

Abhishek Bachchan, who is currently shooting in Toronto for Dhoom 3 and Aishwarya who is also away on her brand endorsement assignments will cut short their trip and fly back home well in time for the October 11 celebrations. “Ash will join Abhishek in Chicago in a few days and they are scheduled to arrive together for the Big B’s birthday bash,” says a source
close to Aishwarya.
There are loud whispers that the son and daughter-in-law are toying with the idea of adding one more to Amitabh’s fleet of luxury cars. “Everybody knows that the Bachchans have a fetish for cars. But Abhi-Ash are yet to decide on the model and make of the car,” the source adds.
Meanwhile, wife Jaya Bachchan along with daughter Shweta Nanda are busy in planning the party. The guest list is expected to comprise the usual set of loyal friends of the Bachchans. “Amitabh always likes to celebrate important occasions at home with his family and friends. So as always the venue will be Jalsa,” the source adds.
