Anushka wants to be like Madhuri

Anushka Sharma has confessed to being a die-hard fan of Madhuri Dixit and aspires to walk in her footsteps. Although unlike Madhuri, who found her footing after a dozen flops, Anushka has enjoyed a better run, thanks to the protective Yashraj halo behind her. Anushka says, “The other day I heard Madhuri say on stage that she

managed to sustain for so long because people loved her for who she was, which is why she could afford to be a complete natural. I too want that for myself.”
Anushka, who has often been accused of missing out on popularity quotient due to her “doing things my way” attitude, defends herself saying, “But hasn’t Madhuri done the same? She has always worked on her performance instead of worrying about being spotted at the right places with the right people.” But she is quick to add, “No, I am not comparing myself with her. I still have a long way to go. But then, I would definitely want to pick up what worked well for her.”
