Akshay takes charge
Actors and their sky-high demands have often been an issue for filmmakers but with time they have decided to treat it as a necessary evil. Recently, on the sets of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, lead actor Akshay Kumar did something that didn’t quite go down well with director Milan Luthria.
The unit was shooting in Muscat, where Akshay was having a tough time dealing with the scorching heat. So to combat the situation he devised a plan. “He asked the crew to shoot from 6 am to 10 am and then again from 3 pm to 7 pm,” says a unit member. Initially, Milan was not too comfortable. “Shooting in breaks is not a pattern that Bollywood usually follows. But looks like the director had no choice but to give in,” the unit member continues.
But not everyone was in a mood to go with the flow. It seems, the film’s leading lady Sonakshi Sinha, had a tough time keeping up. Since she had to be up by 4 am to finish her makeup in time to start shooting at 6 am, the actress was not too happy with the new pattern. But eventually, Milan managed to convince Sona. “She is one of the most sporting actresses I have worked with. She smiled through it all and was always bang on time,” Milan says.
But we can feel the heat already!
