Akshay in, but Manoj doubtful

Over the past few weeks, speculations have been on an overdrive regarding the cast of Prakash Jha’s next film Chakravyuh. While several big names such as Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan floated around, the one that is closest to getting finalised is Akshay Kumar. However, in a rather uncharacteristic manner, there is still no indication of Jha’s favourite Manoj Bajpayee being part of the project.
Manoj, who has delivered several stellar acts under the supervision of his mentor, prefers to maintain a diplomatic stance on the subject. “Mr Jha respects me a lot as an actor and he appreciates my professional ethics. I am sure that if he has something concrete for me, he will cast me,”” says the actor.
A source says, “One has all the right reasons to believe that Jha is waiting to confirm the big names first, but even with Akshay being nearly finalised it is surprising to not hear a word about Manoj.” One twisted waiting game this!
