Akshay does a cameo for Lara

Akshay Kumar, for all his tough guy image on screen, is a real softie in real life. The actor stands by his friends and willingly helps them out. Like he did with Lara recently. Our source said, “Lara Dutta has begun shooting for a film called Chalo Delhi last week in Jaipur. The film has an interesting premise and is being backed by

the actress herself, but she wants to keep the details of the project under wraps.” Here is where Akshay steps in. Apparently, Lara wanted a top actor to play a cameo and didn’t know which actor would agree. “With trepidation and apprehension, Lara broached the topic to Akshay. She asked him if he would make a special appearance.” Imagine Lara’s surprise when Akshay not only promptly agreed but also did not charge any money for it. “Akshay readily agreed to be a part of Chalo Delhi and he did not charge for his cameo either,” said our source. That is what good friends are all about. — PM
