Ajay gets even more selective

Word in B’town is that Ajay Devgn has been turning down film offers after the debacle of Himmatwala. The actor, we hear, has decided only to work with people he shares a close rapport with. From Rohit Shetty to Ashwini Dhir — Ajay wants to stick to those he has a successful record with.

Ajay, however, has denied allegations about his reservations over working with new directors. “I’ve always been very selective about my films. I’m not averse to working with anyone. Yes, I do work with people I have a rapport with. The script and my comfort level with the team will always be the criteria,” he says.
In the past, Ajay’s implicit faith in select filmmakers has resulted in many hit films. Probably Ajay is in no mood now to risk his viability.
