How does one get two film units, both comprising A-listers, to get to the sets as well as finish shooting on time? Lure them with the promise of one happening celebration per day.
Bollywood’s macho men and in-house pranksters Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt are shooting in Hyderabad for two separate films. Devgn, who is shooting for Himmatwala and Dutt for Saamy, have asked their individual production units to put them up in the same hotel — the plush Hotel Sitara. “Prakash Raaj, Sajid Khan and other male actors have been celebrating this reunion of sorts. Both Ajay and Sanjay are famous for being good hosts. They ensure that other actors from their units come together in the evening for a little party. And the emphasis is always on having the best food for their guests,” confirms their spokesperson. Dutt, with his keen ear for good music and Devgn, with his keen eye for finding a bakra (prank victim) everyday, seem to have found the perfect way to combat procrastination and unpunctuality, both notorious Bollywood traits.
“It’s good fun to watch them all bond. In Mumbai, they hardly get time to spend together. Now that they are all put up in the same hotel and living it up,” says their spokesperson.
In an industry where actresses have been infamous for their rivalry and competitive streak, these actors are showing how after “packup”, life is one big party! We like.
