That ain’t our song: YRF

It’s almost become a trend these days to have online “leaks” of songs from big ongoing Bollywood projects, and Ek Tha Tiger seems to be the latest “victim”. A song called Jaaniyan has spread like wildfire on the Net, its popularity fuelled by rumours that it is an original composition for the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer.
“The song has vocals by Bilawal Baloch, an upcoming Pakistani artiste who has now settled in the UK,” says a Bollywood watcher. However, Bilawal had released Jaaniyan as a single quite a while ago, so claims of it being composed for Ek Tha Tiger may not be true.
While it is not known if the artiste is aware of the claims surrounding his song, YRF officials have confirmed that Janiyan is not in fact, a part of Ek Tha Tiger’s OST. “None of our songs have gone online,” said a spokesperson for the production house.
