Abhi upset over promotions
While actors Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush are basking in the glory of their upcoming film’s trailer, there is someone who is not so happy about the way things are shaping up. Abhay Deol has allegedly distanced himself from the promotions of director Anand Rai’s Raanjhanaa.
The actor is apparently upset about his blink-and-miss presence in the film’s promos. “Abhay is aware that he has a cameo in the film, but he hadn’t expected his role to be so miniscule in the promos,” says a source.
This is not the first time Abhay has distanced himself from a film’s promotions. In the past, he had disassociated from the promotions of Aisha and Shanghai citing similar issues.
When contacted, Anand said that he was unaware of Abhay being upset. However he feels that the actor has no reason to believe that he is getting a raw deal. He says, “Since the beginning, we were clear that we didn’t want to promote Raanjhanaa as a love triangle. It’s too monotonous. Abhay is a good actor and we wanted to promote his role at a later stage.”
