Aamir says no to Telugu remake
Aamir Khan, who is known for his political correctness and wisdom seems to have ruffled a few feathers with his latest decision. After Ghajini went on to become the highest grosser of its times, there was talk about Aamir Khan working in producer Madhu Mantena’s next, which is supposedly a remake of Telugu blockbuster
Magadheera that starred Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan. But Aamir had other plans. Squashing any hopes the producer had, Aamir went ahead and signed Reema Kagti’s next and Yash Raj’s Dhoom 3.
The disappointed producer then approached Hrithik Roshan with a meaty offer of `15 crore, although he denied the rumour. Mantena said that he is not ready to divulge any details about who is playing the lead right now. But sources say that Hrithik will be the one, only after he completes shooting for Krissh 2.
Incidentally, Magadheera is the costliest Telugu film ever made at a budget of `40 crores. The intense plot revolves around the hero being prevented from meeting his lady love by the girl’s uncle, because he wants to marry his niece. But whenever he tries to get close to her, a warrior-like person haunts him. He then visits a tantrik to get to the bottom of the mystery and learns that his rivalry with the hero dates back a few centuries, when they had fought each other to win the same princess.
