‘Hospitalised’ after her illness

Talk about irony. For quite some time now, Sonam Kapoor’s health issues have been in the news, especially since her shoot schedule for Pankaj Kapur’s Mausam was stalled as a result. But now the Kapoor girl is back in the reckoning, having recuperated from her bout of typhoid. In a strange quirk of fate however, her latest scenes in Masuam require her to shoot — in a hospital!
Sonam fell ill while shooting for Anees Bazmee’s Thank You and as a consequence, couldn’t begin shooting for Mausam with Shahid Kapur, as scheduled. “Sonam’s doctor had advised her to take things slowly and she was warned off against exerting herself too much,” says a friend of the actress. “She’s been put on a strict diet and is only allowed to have home-cooked meals.”
However, Sonam’s scenes in the hospital haven’t brought back too many memories of her illness, says her friend: “Well, she’s heading off to Switzerland for the next round of shooting, so all should be fine there.” Switzerland hmm? We hope Sonam won’t be indulging in too many Swiss chocolates or some of the famed Swiss cheese. But given her stick-thin figure, maybe she should.
