Woman kills her kids in forest, attempts suicide

A 23-year-old woman, Nadasunitha, allegedly killed her two children and attempted suicide by jumping from an under construction building in Kurubarahalli on Monday.

The incident came to light on Friday after her father Nagaraju, from Andhra Pradesh, registered a complaint at the Bannerghatta police station.

The two children - two-and-half-year-old Shankar and a eight-month-old Balaji, were allegedly strangled to death by Nadasunitha, who is the wife of Bhaskar, in the Nilgiri forest area.

According to the police, before jumping off the building Nadasunitha had consumed poison. She is now undergoing treatment at a private hospital and is out of danger.
