Tractor mows down 13-year-old
Three people, including a 13-year-old boy, were killed in separate road accidents since Friday evening.
A 13-year-old boy was crushed to death after a speeding tractor ran over him at Devarabisarahalli near Bellary Road on Friday. Police have identified the deceased as Varun, a Class 9 student of a government school.
Varun was riding his bicycle near his house when a speeding tractor ran over him around 4.30 pm on Saturday. He had died on the spot and the killer driver fled the scene. The Airport traffic police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the absconding driver.
In another incident, a 28-year-old man who was on his way to a friend’s place to show his brother’s new two-wheeler, succumbed to injuries after he was hit by a BMTC bus on Friday night on Nagawara Main Road. Police identified the deceased as Mohsin Khan, a resident of K.G. Halli, who was working as junior assistant with a private company.
With severe head injuries, Mohsin was shifted to a private hospital where he succumbed while undergoing treatment. The bus driver has been arrested. In yet another incident, a 24-year-old pedestrian was killed after a private bus ran over him on Yelahanka Main Road on Friday evening. The deceased has been identified as Dinesh Kumar Kishanlal, a native of Rajasthan, who was working as daily wage construction worker. Yelahanka traffic police have registered a case and arrested the bus driver Rudrappa.
