‘Time BJP govt did some work’
Janata Dal(S) state president H.D. Kumaraswamy has said that the BJP which had provided the worst possible governance in the last four years, should make an attempt to provide good administration under Jagadish Shettar who is set to take over as the third chief minister of the BJP. Addressing a JD(S) convention at Harugeri, near Belgaum, Mr Kumaraswamy said the BJP high command has put a temporary halt to the political uncertainty prevailing in the state by asking D.V. Sadananda Gowda to submit his resignation.
“Mr Sadananda Gowda could not take a bold decision to overcome the present crisis, though he is a sincere and honest politician under whose leadership the state did not have any scams. It is unfortunate that the leaders of BJP indulged in a leadership tussle at a time when a major part of the state is reeling under drought due to scanty rainfall,”' said Mr Kumaraswamy. He said he will come up with more concrete projects for farmers and the poor if JD(S) gets a majority to form the next government. The party will also extend free-of-cost education, launch unique programmes for women and write off farmers loans, he said.
