Police nab ‘Stalker’ pizza boy
Warning: Don’t give your personal information to strangers. A few women who gave their contact details to a pizza delivery boy suffered untold mental misery at the hands of this stalker. He called them incessantly and threatened them that he would put up their morphed pictures on the internet if they did not give him sexual pleasure for a day.
The Yeshwanthapur police finally tracked the pizza delivery boy, Swami alias Manish Pandey alias Sridhar alias Ram to Peenya II stage and arrested him. Swami confessed to harassing 10 women in Peenya, Goraguntepalya and Yeshwanthapur. From Channarayapatna in Hassan district. He collected the contact details of the women while delivering pizzas at their homes.
After getting the phone numbers, he would send them lewd messages and harass them by calling them under different identities using different SIMs. He threatened the victims that he had their photos and would morph them and upload them on the internet if they did not cooperate with him.
One of the victims, Sahana Pandit, a resident of Trinethra Apartments and working with Taj View hotel, filed a complaint with the police. Based on the numbers provided by her, the police tracked Swami’s location to Peenya II stage and picked him up from the Pizza Hut branch. The police have recorded the statements of some of the victims. “One of the girls even cancelled her wedding unable to bear Swami’s harassment,” the police said.
Swami had dropped out of school at eighth standard. The police said he has a history of crime and that after working at several places, he had returned to his native Channarayapatna and circulated counterfeit currency with his neighbour Kempe Gowda.
