Love triangle: Two hacked to death
A love triangle led to the murder of two youths, who were in love with a same girl, near Goragunte palya in RMC Yard police limits on Saturday night. The deceased, Kishore (19) and Keshava Murthy (25), were hacked to death by each other’s gangs.
Keshava and Kishore were in love with the same girl, who stays at Goragunte Palya. Keshava, who worked at a cyber café on Tumkur main road, was upset that Kishore, a B. Com student, had fallen in love with his “girlfriend”. The two loafed around the girl’s house every day, the police said.
“Keshava and his gang lay in wait for Kishore near the Goraguntepalya industrial area. When he arrived at the spot, they attacked and killed him. Some of Kishore’s friends, who witnessed the murder, retaliated and attacked Keshava and his friends. Keshav was severely injured in the retaliatory attack. He died while being shifted to a hospital. Few others were also injured in the clashes,” the police said. The police rounded up eight persons: Kiran, Shiva, Renuka, Harish, Manju and three others. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.
12 hired killers arrested
A 28-year-old woman and 12 other supari killers were arrested by Ramamurthy Nagar police for the brutal murder of a 42-year-old beautician. The arrested include Savitha (28) of Marathalli. Police said Nirmala, a beautician, was murdered in her house at Yerraianapalya on February 27 and the accused had escaped with her 40 gm gold chain. Police found that the deceased allegedly had an illicit relationship with Savitha’s husband Ramesh for 15 years. Despite warning, the affair continued. Frustrated over this, Savitha gave money and gold ornaments to one Anil Kumar to hire contract killers and eliminate Nirmala, police added.
