Lokayukta police file charges against Ravi’s wife
The Lokayukta police filed a chargesheet against BJP MLA C.T. Ravi’s wife Pallavi and all others in the alleged allotment of a civic amenity site in Chikmagalur and also two sites from the Karnataka Housing Board (KHB). But the police stated in the chargesheet that no evidence was found against the MLA on misuse of his office in alleged illegal acquisition of land. Pallavi and others are charged with cheating, forgery, falsification of records and false representation.
A private complaint had been filed against Mr Ravi, accusing him of laying claim to a civic amenity site by producing fabricated documents of Anjaneya Education Society, run by his wife. The complainant, R. Devi Prasad, a resident of Chikmagalur, had filed the complaint on December 15 last year and the court had ordered investigation on December 17. The complaint had listed three offences against Mr Ravi, his other family members and officials. The Lokayukta police had registered an FIR naming Sudarshan, Tejaswini Sudarshan, Pawana Anoop, Revati Dharmapal, K N Puneet, Renuka Ramakrishna, Bhagya EreGowda, Siddalinga Swamy and Laxminarayana.
