Journalists behave like terrorists: CM
The affable Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda lost his cool and remarked that journalists behave like “terrorists”, triggering protests at Tumkur University on Friday.
His remark came when some journalists from the electronic media rushed towards him for comments as soon as his helicopter touched down at the University grounds.
This prompted them to protest at the venue of inauguration of Basava Vana and some newly constructed buildings including Dr V.S. Acharya memorial block, and Dr Shivakumara Swamiji auditorium.
In his speech, Mr Gowda praised the late higher education minister V.S. Acharya. He described Dr Acharya as his “guru”, and added that “Dr Acharya is responsible for me to come to this stage (in politics)”.
