Jaggesh-starrer courts trouble
The just released Sandalwood flick starring actor-politician Jaggesh, titled Manjunatha, B.A. LLB, has run into legal trouble with a city-based advocate approaching the high court claiming that the advocate community has been depicted in bad light and the movie depicts a person portraying the role of an advocate lawyer in an inebriated condition.
Hearing the plea of advocate M.K. Vijay Kumar, the high court has ordered notices to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Regional Officer of Central Board of Film Certification, BBMP Commissioner and the movie producer Mr A. Suresh “The promos of the film show that the hero is in the habit of drinking liquor and saying he will give the same to others. He also and comes to the court in an inebriated condition", the petition states adding that in spite of the law on Disfigurement of Walls Act, the BBMP has permitted posters to be put up all over Bengaluru.
