Girl molested, pushed out of Mysore train
In a horrific incident, a hapless 19-year-old girl was allegedly molested and thrown out of a moving train, the Mysore bound Yashwanthpur-Mysore express on Tuesday afternoon by her four attackers. The teen, living in Mysore with her grandmother was heading home from her job at a garment factory in the capital, when four men, boarding the train at Ramanagaram, molested her as the train drew up near Maddur in Mandya district at around 1.30 pm.
The accused, identified as Akbar, Imran, Rafeeq and Zuban, are scrap shop employees from Mysore.
The accused began “misbehaving with her and tried abusing her sexually,” police said. With no security guards, horrified passengers could only watch as she ran from bogie to bogie screaming for help and then was thrown from the train. She is being treated in a Mandya hospital, Her attackers, thrashed black and blue by passengers, are in police custody.
