Find real culprit, pleads Mazurier
French Consulate official Pascal Mazurier, who had been arrested following a complaint by his wife Suja Jones accusing him of raping their minor daughter, and recently released on bail by the Karnataka High Court after two months in jail, has approached the city police commissioner seeking a thorough probe into the case.
Requesting the police to catch the real culprit, Mr Pascal has stated that the high court granted him bail last month because the semen samples taken from his minor daughter did not match with his DNA. Since the statements of witnesses gave him a clean chit, police should ascertain whose semen it was, he said, adding that his wife, who accused him of raping their daughter, does not seem interested in pursuing this aspect. Mr Pascal even raised doubts about a man who had access to his daughter during his absence, as the DNA report indicated that she was sexually abused.
Expressing fears about the safety of the lives of his three children, including two sons, he said his wife had falsely accused him and had made false statements before the police and the family court.
Additional Commissioner of Police (law and order) T. Suneel Kumar said the complaint has been forwarded to the Cubbon Park sub-division ACP, who is the investigating officer for a thorough probe. On June 14, Suja Jones had complained to the High Grounds police accusing her husband of raping their minor daughter. After a series of medical tests at Bowring Hospital, the High Grounds police arrested Mr Mazurier and sent him to jail.
