Distraught father: Where is my son?
A 15-year-old boy has gone missing after being allegedly mentally harassed and humiliated in front of his fellow students by the school management. The school authorities have also been accused of issuing him a transfer certificate after which he went missing, according to the boy’s father who has filed a missing complaint at Srinivasapura police station in Kolar district.
Mr B. Ravanappa, a native of Rayalpadu in Srinivasapura, told media persons here on Saturday that his 15-year-old son C.R. Subramani has been missing since July 12. “My son has been studying at G.G. Venu School in Srinivasapura Town from VII standard and he was presently studying SSLC. I was in regular touch with his class teachers and was never told that he was weak in academics. The school did not even give proper receipts for the fees paid,” he alleged.
“Neither my son nor us asked the school to give him a transfer certificate. The school management it on July 12 violating all rules. My son, who regularly returned home in the school van, did not come home on July 12. We searched for him and were unable to trace him. When we went to the police station, the management representatives, who were present there, forced us to file a missing complaint. We later learnt that the management had issued TC to my son after which my son has gone missing,” Mr Ravanappa said.
“I strongly feel that my son has ended his life. If something happens to my son’s life, the management is responsible for that. We will also move court on Monday,” he added. Mr Ravanappa has submitted a petition to the governor, chief minister and others seeking action against the school.
