Bollywood artist held in prostitution ring

The city police claim to have busted a hi-tech prostitution racket with the arrest of a 26-year-old Bollywood junior artist, a Uzbekistan national, and six others from an apartment in Koramangala. The police on Sunday arrested a pimp near Ashoka Pillar while he was luring people. Based on his confession, police raided flat No. 102 at Anisha Meadows Apartment in Koramangala VIth block and arrested the other accused. It is said that the accused were making around `70,000 to 80,000 per day.

The arrested are Sana Khan (26), the Bollywood junior artist, Kholida (28) of Uzbekistan, Nikitha Joseph (21), Shibi (21), Rashmi (30), Sameer alias Nayaz Pasha (26), Kaviraj (28) and Vinay Kumar (28). Police recovered Rs 40,000 in cash, 12 mobile phones, two laptops and a camera. The main accused and house owner Shivaprakash and a pimp Usman are absconding. The racket is suspected to have been operational in Mumbai and other parts.
