BJP govt has no right to rule: Sreeramulu
Alleging that ministers and legislators have failed to alleviate the suffering of those who are reeling under the impact of a severe drought, former health minister and Independent MLA B. The Valmiki community leader, who launched his 921 km padayatra from Basavakalyan town on Tuesday, reached Humnabad town on Wednesday afternoon. He spent the night at the residence of a farmer at Rajolla village.
On Wednesday, he commenced his padayatra at 9 am and passed through Hunasgeri and Kanakatta villages before reaching Humnabad town. Addressing a public meeting, Mr Sreeramulu urged people not to keep silent over the misdeeds of legislators and ministers. “Hold them by their collars and take them to task”, he remarked.
He felt that the BJP government had lost its right to rule the state. with Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda ‘incapable’ of running the government. Mr Sreeramulu devoted a major portion of his speech to attacking the Congress and accused the party of conspiring to remove him from his ministerial post. “The Congress was worried that if my popularity went up, I may become Chief Minister”, he quipped.
