Ananth Kumar behind all BJP’s problems: BSY
Former chief minister B.S Yeddyurappa was at his vituperative best against general secretary H.N. Ananth Kumar and blamed his bete noire for all the problems plaguing the party while concluding that he had no confidence that the central leadership would be able to resolve the current crisis in the state unit.
Speaking to media persons at his new office here on Saturday, Mr. Yeddyurappa accused Mr Ananth Kumar of influencing key central leaders of the party, including president Nitin Gadkari, to stop them from taking decisions on the state unit of the party. “I am blaming Mr. Ananth Kumar as he has tied the hands of our senior leader L.K. Advani, and prevented him from taking independent decisions. Though Mr. Advani has leadership qualities, Mr Ananth Kumar has blocked him from taking independent decisions”, he charged.
There were more allegations against Mr Ananth Kumar. First, he was accused of scuttling the careers of upcoming party colleagues from Karnataka. Next, the general secretary was charged with preventing other Members of Parliament from the state from speaking in Lok Sabha. Third, Mr Ananth Kumar allegedly influenced senior leaders to pick candidates of his choice for Rajya Sabha polls held recently, Mr Yeddyurappa added.
